Linda DiNardo George
Linda is originally from NY and has lived in Roanoke Virginia since 2002. She has seven children and two grandchildren. She has been a homeschooling mom for 25 years and is currently homeschooling her youngest daughter who is a junior in high school. She has also been the Co-Director and teacher in the Saint Elias Homeschooling Co-op for over 20 years. She is a private tutor and has worked with children from preschool to high school. She is a parishioner of St Elias Church and has been involved in Directing and teaching in the Religious Education program for over 20 years. She is the Director of the MYO program at St Elias and has been working in this capacity for the past 19 years. She recently has been appointed to the Eparchial Board for the MYO and works as an Outreach Coordinator. All of the years of working with youth have been an integral part of her spiritual journey. She is a family and pro life advocate and hopes to bring this passion into the Office of Family and Sanctity of Life for the Eparchy of Saint Maron. |
Vivian M. Akel LCSW
Program Assistant Vivian is a lifetime member of the Cathedral parish of Our Lady of Lebanon in Brooklyn, New York. She is a Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Ignatian Spiritual Director and has spent her extensive career working with families and couples in various healthcare settings. She is currently the Safe Environment Coordinator for the Eparchy of Saint Maron, a Pre Cana trainer for the Eparchy as well as Coordinator of the Eparchial Couples Ministry. Vivian is also an appointed member of the USCCB’s National Review Board for Child and Youth Protection. Vivian has been married for 38 years and is the mother of two adult children. |
